Yeah, there’s been… nothing ever?  At least nothing that I’ve heard about.  I remain a staunch advocate of the idea that Studio Ghibli should do the adaptation, personally, because it has the kind of bizarre tech + beautiful strange world + kickass heroine that they do so much of.  I just… don’t know how one gets books to their attention.

So I would go into a furious feminist rage if they actually did any sort of Abhorsen story with Sabriel cast as a male, but I just looked at this picture and went “Benedict Cumberbatch would be perfect”, and now I am equal parts feeling like a terrible feminist and an awesome fangirl.

Which is awful because I’m not even that much of a Bennie fangirl in the first place.

Anyways, if Benedict’s going to be in anything, he should just play Artemis Fowl the Second already, even though I want that to be a movie even less than Sabriel. Yeah.
